In order to independently use Vetpol’s range of unique trademarks you must first apply to the Directors of Vetpol for permission to do so, as permission is dependent on certain criteria being met first. This page describes some of the T&C’s for using Vetpol trademarks: Vetpol Ltd is committed to enabling SQPs studying and registering with Vetpol to achieve professional recognition. These terms and conditions for using Vetpol trademarks indicate how they may be used by Vetpol Registered SQPs and their employers.

The Vetpol V+ device is part of a series of registered trademarks that signpost Suitably Qualified Persons registered with Vetpol and also direct animal health customers needing veterinary medicines in their direction for support, advice and supply. Their use is not permitted for any other purpose.

Use of VQP trademark:

Use of the VQP trademark on badges, clothing and personal items is permitted by SQPs currently registered with Vetpol and up-to-date with their CPD, whether or not their employer is using the device on in-store signage. However, use of the VQP trademark will be more effective if used together with in-store signage.

Use of the trademark by SQPs not registered with Vetpol and those who have not sought permission from the Directors is a breach of the terms and conditions for using Vetpol trademarks and an offence under trademark law.

Only businesses who commit to having a Vetpol registered SQP available during all opening hours is permitted to use the VQP and V+ trademarks.

Use of the V+ device in store:

Use of the V+ device is permitted by SQPs and employers of SQPs on signage in-store and on websites selling animal medicines run by Vetpol Registered SQPs provided that the signage also provides the name and registration number of the Vetpol Registered SQP in charge of medicines distribution from the premises. Use of the V+ device by businesses not employing Vetpol Registered SQPs and those who have not sought permission from the Directors is a breach of the terms and conditions for using Vetpol trademarks.

Only businesses who commit to having a Vetpol registered SQP available during all opening hours is permitted to use the V+ device trademark.

Use of the V+ device online:

Use of the V+ device online is only permitted by premises employing Vetpol Registered SQPs to manage their medicines distribution. If a website is using the device it must also bear the registration number or numbers of the Vetpol Registered SQP or SQPs taking responsibility for supply from that site. The site must also bear the address of the registered premises. Use of the V+ device by businesses not employing Vetpol Registered SQPs and those who have not sought the permission of the Directors is a breach of the terms and conditions for using Vetpol trademarks.

Only online businesses who commit to having a Vetpol registered SQP available at all times to dispense VPS medicines is permitted to use the V+ device.

Owners of premises employing Vetpol SQPs are reminded that they are obliged to comply with the regulations for registered premises available from the Veterinary Medicines Directorate website.

Vetpol’s Marketing Toolkit

At the time of writing this policy, Vetpol is in the midst of producing a marketing toolkit to help customers locate SQPs and to elevate the professional service that SQPs offer. The toolkit currently includes badges, stickers for doors & medicine cabinets, and email signature banners; the badges are shown above and the stickers and email banners are shown below.

Vetpol provides these items free of charge but may only be used by SQPs who are currently sitting on the Vetpol Register. Use by anyone else is not permitted. To request these stickers and email banners please email support@vetpol.uk.
